Located on the southern tip of the city in Fort Taber Park and operated by the Fort Taber-Fort Rodman Historical Association, Inc., the museum preserves and interprets New Bedford’s long and rich military history. Walk through the museum and you will see artifacts from every major American War, the evolution of Clark’s Point to Fort Rodman, as well as photos and stories of local men and women that have served our nation over each conflict.

Hours of Operation: The Military Museum is open Wednesday-Sunday, 1-4 pm except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Easter. Admission is free.
The Fort is open for special events only, as advertised.
