Presented in partnership with Long Island Traditions, women from Long Island who are involved in fishing will give a panel talk about their experiences. Panelists include bayman Flo Sharkey (Patchogue, NY) and Shinnecock tradition bearers Josephine Smith and Shavonne Smith (Shinnecock Nation, Southampton, NY), in addition to other women from New Bedford who are also involved in the fishing industry.
