A survey of glass sculpture made by leading and emerging female artists trained in Massachusetts.
This group exhibition highlights several recent shifts within the world of contemporary art glass, the deployment of glass conceptually and abstractly by interdisciplinary artists, female dominance in the world of art glass, the disruption of traditional aesthetic conventions associated with the material and a subversion of expectations related to transparency, beauty and functionality.
