Celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular fireworks display over New Bedford Harbor! Presented by Mayor Jon Mitchell and the City of New Bedford the Fireworks Spectacular will take place overlooking State Pier Wednesday, July 4th at 9:00pm. The fireworks will be staged from a barge off State Pier in New Bedford Harbor. Fireworks viewing will NOT be allowed on the east face of State pier instead, fireworks viewers will be encouraged to watch from lower Union Street which we have blocked off at RT18 & Union, Union Street to N. Water Street. There will be NO PARKING on State Pier on the evening of July 4th.
As in years past, New Bedford’s 4th of July fireworks are made possible through the generous sponsorship of Hawthorn Medical Associates, as well as our contributing sponsors St. Anne’s Credit Union and the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
