The 45th Annual Cape Verdean Recognition Parade will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11am. The parade starting point will be Rockdale Avenue and Union Street at Buttonwood Park. The parade route is as follows: Straight down Union Street, then right on County Street, left on Spring Street, right on Acushnet Avenue, right on Grinnell Street, right onto Purchase Street. The parade will end at the reviewing stand located at the Cape Verdean American Veterans’ Memorial Hall at 561 Purchase Street. All are welcome to come and celebrate the Cape Verdean culture with food, entertainment and vendors.
