June 28th -6:00pm Cape Verdean Recognition Committee Scholarship event at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.

June 29th -6:30pm Dr. Trevor Hall Lecture, Topic: Cape Verde’s First Century, Linking the Past at New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, 33 Williams Street, New Bedford.

July 1st -9:00am Memorial  Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 47 South Sixth Street, New Bedford.

July 1st -1:00pm Tee Time: Cape Verdean American Veterans Association Golf Tournament in Memory od Raymond Medina at Allendale Country Club, Dartmouth.

July 2nd -6:00pm the Raising of the Republic of Cabo Verde Flag on the Steps of New Bedford City Hall, 133 William Street, Drumming by Batakuda.

July 2nd –Postcards from Cado Verde: 1900-1914 & The Cape Verdean Collection of the NBPL” at the New Bedford Library.

July 3rd -6:00pm Re-dedication of the Joseph Monteiro Square at Monte Park, Acushnet Avenue and Russell Street, New Bedford.

July 4th -7:00pm Cape Verdean Recognition Parade Fireworks Cruise, aboard The M/V Cuttyhunk, State Pier, New Bedford.

July  5th -6:00pm Candida Rose presents: KabuMerikanus – The Sum of US: Exploring the Cabo Verde – United States Musical Connection and Legacy at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.

July 7th -11:00am The 46th Annual Cape Verdean Recognition Parade Steps off from Union Street at Buttonwood Park and Rockdale Avenue. We are Proud to Announce our 46th Annual Cape Verdean Recognition Parade. The parade route is as follows: Straight down Union Street, right onto County Street, left on School Street, right on to Acushnet Avenue, right onto Grinnell Street and right onto Purchase Street. The Parade will end at 561 Purchase Street. Vendors on Bedford Street between Purchase and Acushnet Avenue from 11 am to 8pm. The Parade Marshal is Peter Britto for his dedication to the youth in our community.
