City Celebrates! New Year's Eve

Ring in the New Year with these Special Events in downtown NB Presented by Mayor Jon Mitchell

Sunday, December 31, the City of New Bedford will host a variety of free family-friendly programming throughout the downtown area. Enjoy live music, puppet shows, fire dancing and fire breathing, magic, and so much more! Events will take place in various locations inside and outside between 5pm and 8pm.

You do not want to miss the first LED drone show in downtown New Bedford at 8:30pm!

The best place to view the drone show will be on Union Street in downtown New Bedford. The street will be closed for pedestrian traffic only from 5-9 PM between Route 18 and South 6th Street. Please note that the drone show will not be viewable outside of this vicinity.

Head over to Union Street between Route 18 and South 6th Street, sectioned off for ideal viewing of the spectacular LED Drone Show beginning at 8:30 PM. DJ MikeyLife will be spinning tunes during this show that you do not want to miss.

*Please note that you will not be able to exit (headed south) from Acushnet Avenue or Johnny Cake Hill onto Union from 5-9PM.*

North Water Street will be open for thru-traffic
