Reggae on West Beach is a 4-Part Summer Series featuring DJs spinning the best in the reggae styles of rocksteady, roots, rubadub, and dancehall. The event will run on May 26, June 30, July 28, and Aug. 25, from 3pm-7pm. The event will be held at the West Beach Pavilion located at 215 W. Rodney French Blvd. across from Hazelwood Park. Two additional music events have been added as part of the new West Beach Music Series on July 14th and August 11th. August 25th is the final show of the summer season and will feature the Boston-based Naya Rockers, with DJ Shzz Mack spinning throughout the show. Come send off summer in style by dancing to reggae music on the beach!

Patrons are encouraged to bring beach chairs and towels, and groove to the vibes. Food trucks will offer a variety of delicious local offerings. Food trucks include JA PATTY (Jamaican food), Izzy’s Restaurant (Cape Verdean food) Food Truck, Dorothy Cox selling Del’s Lemonade, Cool Licks, and more to be announced. Please no smoking or alcohol.
Parking: Guests need Summer Parking Permits to park on W. Rodney French. Free parking is available in the two Hazelwood Park parking lots located on Brock Ave. and at the W. Rodney French Blvd. entrance to the Cove Walk bike path. Overflow parking at the boat ramp lot on W Rodney French Blvd south of the pavilion. Parking is limited in residential areas. Overflow parking available at the boat ramp lot on W. Rodney French south of Pavilion/bathhouse. If you would like to purchase a Summer Parking Pass please contact NB Parks & Rec at 508-961-3015. Passes **will occasionally** be sold during the event under the Pavilion.
Good to Know Productions, in partnership with the City of New Bedford Parks, Recreation, and Beaches, will host the 2019 Reggae on West Beach Summer Series at the West Beach Pavilion located at 215 W. Rodney French Blvd. across from Hazelwood Park.
