Jessica Lange Dance

Experience the beauty of movement and music as only Jessica Lang Dance can deliver. Rapidly gaining recognition, the company has performed at world-renowned venues and festivals including Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Joyce Theater, and many more. The evening’s performance is a hypnotizing voyage through Lang’s work, including “Her Road” that perfectly captures the simple, stark beauty of Georgia O’Keefe’s desert Southwest paintings, and the pièce de ré·sis·tance, “Thousand Yard Stare,” that the Chicago Tribune called “a remarkable evocation, minimal yet profound, of soldiers in formation and at war. Moving and masterful.” This performance is linked to The Z’s 2017/2018 ArtsBridge theme of the Veteran’s Experience. The slate of programming includes Jessica Lang Dance, The Things They Carried, a screening of the documentary Almost Sunrise, and more. The Veteran’s Experience provides an opportunity to reflect on issues that affect our veterans with a focus on the redemptive power of storytelling.
