Love wooden boats? Curious about how these vessels are built?

Join us during AHA Night as Fred Sterner discusses this 1,000 year old design and exhibits his newly built 15′ faering in our outdoor stage (aka the parking lot!).

A faering is a Norse design wooden boat with two pairs of oars and pointed at both ends. This vessel can only be rowed or rigged with a sail. The design is virtually unchanged since the Viking era. Fred was part of the crew that built this vessel at the Wooden Boat School in Maine and will be available to talk about the process.
