April Vacation Week

Explore beneath the ocean, on the high seas, and in outer space during Spring Vacation Week at the Whaling Museum. Learn to eat, see, and hear like a whale on Right Whale Day, Monday, April 15, 10 am – 2 pm. Climb inside a life-size inflatable whale and try the right whale obstacle course. Don’t miss the new life-size model of a right whale head! Hands-on learning and fun continue Tuesday through Friday. Try fun marine-themed crafts and explore new exhibits in the exhibition “Whales Today.” On Thursday explore faraway places on NASA Space Day, a free New Bedford Science Café Kids event. On Friday go onboard Lagoda, the world’s largest ship model for an adventure on the high seas! Hands-on fun in the Museum’s Jacobs Family Gallery is free. Activities in other galleries are included with paid admission. Supported by Per Moen and Joan Dolian, and in part by a grant from the New Bedford Local Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
