This year’s “ChowderFest” will take place on Sunday, October 7th. Tents will be located on Pier 3, New Bedford’s historical waterfront. This event’s main attraction are the 25 restaurants and caterers that will be serving up sample sized portions of their best clam and seafood chowders, kale soup, signature soups, and stuffed quahogs. The “ChowderFest” also features live music, free children’s craft activities and the annual YMCA lobster race. Vendors will be serving local beers, wines, specialty cocktails, soft drinks and desserts. This is truly an affordable family event sponsored by BayCoast Bank.
